In vitro therapeutic effects of aerva tenuifolius extracts oncytokine and growth factor expression in equine wound healing
Abstract
This study evaluated the in vitro therapeutic efficacy of Aerva tenuifolius extract on equine wound healing, focusing on cellular behavior and gene modulation. Primary equine dermal fibroblasts were treated with the extract to determine its effects on cell proliferation, migration, and gap closure. Quantitative PCR analysis was conducted to measure the expression of key wound-healing biomarkers, including TGF- 1, VEGF-A, and IL-1. Treatment with β A. tenuifolius significantly accelerated fibroblast migration and proliferation compared to untreated controls. Furthermore, gene expression profiling demonstrated a notable upregulation of factors associated with collagen synthesis and angiogenesis. Overall, these results suggest that A. tenuifolius extract possesses promising regenerative properties, highlighting its potential for development as a phytotherapeutic treatment in equine wound management.
