Abstract

A four-year-old non-descript bitch was presented with inappetence and purulent vaginal discharge since 5 days. Haematology and ultrasonography were performed and case was diagnosed as an open cervix pyometra. Medicinal treatment was given for a week due to severe thrombocytopenia and leuckocytosis. On improvement of condition after a week, ovariohysterectomy was performed with uneventful recovery.
