Abstract

This research article explores the transformative impact of automation and artificial intelligence (AI) on the modern agro-food system. We delve into the key technologies driving this revolution, their potential benefits and challenges, and their implications for the future of agriculture and food production. The advent of robotics, autonomous vehicles, and drones is revolutionizing agricultural practices. These technologies are not merely replacing human labor but are enhancing efficiency and productivity through precision farming techniques, optimizing resource utilization, and minimizing environmental impact. Simultaneously, AI is permeating every stage of food processing, from predictive analytics for optimizing production schedules and forecasting market trends to sophisticated machine vision systems for quality control and defect detection.
