Application of enzymes in textile industry: A sustainable approach

Abstract
Textile industry is one of the most polluting industries. There are several processes in production and finishing of textile products uses chemicals which may cause pollution to the environment. In last two decades, the application of enzyme in textile finishing and processing has given an alternative to eco- friendly approach. Enzyme application generates fewer toxic effluents, supporting sustainable and eco-friendly textile production. This paper deals with the application of enzymes in textile industry.
