Financial literacy and preference towards various investment options-with reference to women

Abstract

Indian women are presently actively engaging in all pieces of society like education, politics, media, science, and technology; thereby, they are becoming economically independent too. To develop a county, women should be empowered and made independent. Even though in India the condition of women has improved still when it comes to investing, somewhere they feel disconnected, ignored, and less informed. This paper examines the factors that affect executive women's investment choice, and attempts to identify the rational and irrational factors that shape their investment choices. The survey is conducted on 50 executive women, the finding points towards the effect of age, income, occupation, and experience on the investment choice. The paper also points out the rational and irrational factors affecting executive women's behavior towards investment choices.
