Individualized homoeopathic treatment of acne vulgaris: A case study of pulsatilla nigricans

Abstract

Everyone is quite sensitive to their skin, especially ladies in our society, and our skin is the most attractive covering on the human body. Inflammatory and multifactorial, acne is a skin condition. Air pollution, harsh skin care products, medications, hormonal and mechanical variables, and, more recently, stress and lifestyle choices have all been proposed as internal and external factors that affect acne. A condition of the skin that bears hair, acne vulgaris occurs when hair follicles create obstructive horny plugs, or comedones. Inflammation then develops around the obstructed follicles, resulting in tissue death and scarring. Acne affects sebaceous follicles, which are found on the back, upper chest, and face.
