Abstract

Common kinds include vitiligo and melasma, which can be caused by systemic disorders, infections, hormonal changes, sun exposure, or adverse drug reactions. Clinical assessment, patient history, and occasionally laboratory testing or biopsies are required to diagnose post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and erythema. Depending on the underlying reason, topical treatments are frequently used in treatment. Skin discolouration can be effectively treated with laser treatments, lifestyle modifications, and systemic medications. Managing its physical and psychological repercussions requires an understanding of its causes and course.
