Growth and productivity response of transplanted rice to integrated nutrient management in Vertisols of Chhattisgarh

International Journal of Research in Agronomy · 2025 · Vol. 8(6) · pp. 122–125

Abstract

An experiment was carried out during Kharif season of 2023–24. at the Instructional Farm, Alesur, Dau Kalyan Singh College of Agriculture and Research Station, Bhatapara Chhattisgarh, India. The experiment was laid out in Randomized Block Design (RBD) comprising 12 treatments, with three replications. The results revealed that the application of the recommended dose of fertilizer (RDF) had a significant impact on various growth and yield parameters of transplanted rice. Yield attributes and yield of rice were significantly affected by integrated nutrient management practices. Application of 100% Recommended dose of fertilizer (120kg N, 60kg, P2O5 & 40kg K2O ha-1) recorded significantly higher no. of panicle hill-1, panicle length, no. of filled grains panicle-1 and grain yield. Significantly lower value of there parameters were observed with sole application of nano urea. Application of recommended dose of fertilizer gave 82.4% higher grain yield of rice over application of nano urea without other source of nutrients. (3065 kg ha-1), Among integrated source of nutrient application of 75% RDF+ Nano urea+ Azospirillum + PSB+ KSB (T8) recorded highest grain yield (5333 kg ha-1) through the productivity were on par with 75% RDF + Nano urea + Azospirillum+ PSB+ KSB (T6) and 75% RDF+ Nano urea (T4). Rice yield under 75% RDF+ Nano urea + Azospirillum + PSB + KSB + ZSB were on par with 100% RDF suggesting saving of 25% inorganic fertilizer by integration of nano urea and biofertilizer.
