The effect of a training curriculum on developing punching efficiency using a number bag in boxing for juniors at Al-Kut Club

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to develop a training curriculum to develop punching efficiency using the number bag in junior boxing, and identify the impact of the training curriculum on developing punching efficiency using the number bag in junior boxing. Because it is suitable for the nature of the problem to be solved, the experimental approach was selected. This allows the researchers to reach more accurate conclusions than any other research method. The research sample was intentionally selected from junior boxers representing the Al-Kut Junior Club. There were twenty-four boxers in all. Twelve boxers were placed in the control group, and another twelve were placed in the experimental group. A random sample was selected. While the coach allocated the training curriculum to the control group, the researchers' training program was administered to the experimental group. Among the researcher's most significant findings is that: The experimental group's ability to punch into all allowed regions was enhanced by the training program, while the control group's speed and accuracy were increased by the conventional curriculum, However, at a lower level than the experimental group, which trained using the experimental curriculum. One of the researchers' most significant recommendations is that: The suggested curriculum should be used in training specifically for this age group of boxers, and the use of aids and tools during the training process and the utilization of all available tools, especially those related to developing speed and accuracy in boxing.
