Impact of stable core strength training with qigong exercise on selected physical parameters of corporate male employees
Abstract
The study was designed to investigate the effect of stable core strength training with qigong exercise on selected physical parameters of corporate male employees. To achieve the purpose of the study, sixty male corporate employees were randomly selected from Chennai and their age was ranged between 35 and 40 years. They were divided into two equal groups of thirty each. No attempt made to equate the groups. Experimental group I (n = 30) were undergo stable core strength training with qigong exercise, for a period of 16 weeks, and group II (n = 30) were act as control group (CG), the subjects in control group were not be given any short of training programme other than their regular activity. The physical fitness variables such as flexibility and muscular strength were selected as dependent variables. Pre and post-test random group design was used for this study. The dependent‘t’ test was applied to determine the difference between the means of two groups. To test the level of significant of difference between the means 0.05level of confidence was fixed. The result of the study shows that, there was a significant change takes place on flexibility and muscular strength of corporate male employees due to the effect of stable core strength training. And also concluded that, there was a significant difference exists between experimental and control groups in flexibility and muscular strength. The control group did not significant changes the selected criterion variables.
