Avian diversity of Government Serchhip College Campus: A Preliminary Study

Abstract

The study on avian diversity at Govt. Serchhip College was conducted from January to December 2024, documenting the presence of both resident and migratory bird species that contribute to the region's ecological balance and biodiversity. A total of 40 bird species were recorded, with their local names (Mizo), common names (English), scientific classifications, and conservation statuses based on the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
