Abstract

An experiment entitled “Integrated Management of Fusarium wilt of Gladiolus by using Biocontrol agents and Organic amendments” was conducted at Plant Pathology Section, College of Agriculture, Nagpur. A pot culture experiment was conducted in factorial completely randomized design (FCRD) with five main treatment (vermicompost, cowdung slurry, linseed cake, groundnut cake and uninoculated control) and five sub treatments ie bioagents viz. T. asperellum, P. fluroscens, A. awamori, A.chroococcum and uninoculated control in three replication during the rabi season 2021-22. Psittaneous hybrid variety was used in the present investigation. The observations were recorded at 30, 60, 90 and 120 DAP. It was clearly observed from the experiment that there were significant differences due to application of organic amendments and biocontrol agents on days to emergence, shoot length, mortality, number of shoots/plant, length of spike/plant, number of flowers/plant, number of corms/plant and fresh weight of corm (g). However, interaction effect were found to be non-significant on all the parameters at all the intervals. Thus, it can be inferred from the research work that the application of vermicompost (2.5 t/ha) combined with inoculation of T. asperellum can be used to minimize the wilt incidence and enhancing all the growth parameters of gladiolus.
