Homoeopathic management of rheumatoid arthritis with interstitial lung disease: A case report

Abstract

Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is a chronic inflammatory disorder that progressively damages synovial-lined joints and can present with diverse extra-articular manifestations. Tendon and bursal involvement are common, often being prominent in the early stages of the disease. While RA can affect any joint, it predominantly involves the metacarpophalangeal, proximal interphalangeal, and metatarsophalangeal joints, as well as the wrists and knees. Articular and periarticular symptoms typically include joint swelling, tenderness upon palpation, morning stiffness, and significant movement restriction. Although the clinical presentation varies, the most characteristic finding is a gradual onset of pain accompanied by symmetric swelling of small joints. Here is a female aged 56 years admitted at Govt. Homoeopathic Medical College on 01/02/2025 for pain in joints and managed with Homoeopathic constitutional medicines.
