Andropause: Does it really happen in man?
Abstract
Andropause, also known as male menopause or late-onset hypogonadism, refers to the gradual decline in testosterone levels in aging men. It typically occurs in men over the age of 40, and its symptoms may include decreased libido, fatigue, mood changes, and reduced muscle mass. Here question arises whether the complete cessation of androgen level occurs or not in man? Whether accessory sex glands functioning comes to halt. Answer is no. Unlike menopause, andropause is not very conspicuous only decline in androgen level with the age is observed. This review research paper analyses the so called andropause phenomenon occurs in man or not. If it occurs how it can be managed along with sexuality in aging man.
