Abstract

The present research was carried out to evaluate the effects of Albizia ferruginea aqueous stem bark extract (AFASBE) on the variation of some pro-inflammatory cytokines and haematological parameters during sub-chronic inflammation. Sub-chronic inflammation was induced in rats by the insertion of cotton pellets and then treated with AFASBE. Determination of the concentrations of TNF-α, IL1-β, IL-6 and INF-γ was carried out by the ELISA technique “Enzyme Linked Immuno Sorbent Assay” using the Quantikines kits (France).
