Abstract
Abstract Direct functionalization of aromatic C–H bonds with alkynes provides an efficient synthetic protocol involving fewer reaction steps without need for prefunctionalization. This microreview presents an overview of the recently developed transition‐metal‐catalyzed hydroarylation reactions of alkynes.
